What It Costs, What a Plan Adds, and What It Will Not Do
Three honest answers. The third one is the reason to trust the first two.

Free to use
- Plan and preview a route for your truck. Free to download and keep, with ads and no time limit.
- Explore 500,000+ truck stops across the USA and Canada, with driver reviews, parking reports, weigh station status and diesel prices.
- Access discounted fuel through 10-4 by WEX. Open to every app user, with no credit check or fee to join.

What a paid plan adds
- Navigate turn by turn, with trips of more than three stops and CarPlay on your vehicle display.
- Plan ahead with Parking Predictions for upcoming lots and Smart Fuel Plans across a whole run.
- Get rest break reminders based on your hours, offline maps and an ad-free experience. Plans start with a seven-day free trial.
What it will not do
Navigation needs a paid plan
The free version previews your truck route; turn-by-turn navigation requires a paid plan.Your phone is still required
It runs on your phone. It does not replace a dedicated device that works without one.Reports have a timestamp
Parking, fuel and scale house information is as current as the last driver report, not a live feed from every location.
TESTIMONIALS
Hear From Our Customers

“As a retired Army First Sergeant, I tested multiple GPS platforms side by side. Trucker Path stood out — the accuracy, user-driven data, and practical routing made it the clear choice. A critical part of how I run my operation and keep drivers safe on the road.”
“As a former executive, planning has always been essential, not optional, and Trucker Path quickly became one of my core tools on the road. More than once, Trucker Path has saved me from bad decisions — or at least from spending the night inventing new curse words.”
“At Arka Express, efficiency and safety are core. Trucker Path’s navigation helps us achieve both. Our drivers use it for truck-friendly routing, real-time conditions, and parking info. This reduces delays, minimizes miles, and improves driver experience. Tools like these support retention and keep our fleet running smoothly.”
“I replaced my GPS with trucker path. I have been using it every single day. Trucker Path offers so much more than just a GPS (…) I could never go back. Thankful everyday as an OTR driver for Trucker Path.”
FAQ
What Drivers Ask Before They Download It
Is Trucker Path free?
The app is free to download on iOS and Android, and it is a free version with ads rather than a trial that expires. Without paying you can plan a route around your own truck and look at it, and you get the map of more than 500,000 truck stops with parking availability, weigh station open or closed status, diesel prices and driver reviews. Turn-by-turn navigation along the route is on a paid plan, as are several other features; what each plan includes is published on our pricing page.
Is Trucker Path worth paying for?
That depends on which part of your week costs you money. A plan is worth it if you regularly lose time hunting for parking late in the day, plan fuel across long runs, run trips with several stops, or want the route on your vehicle display through CarPlay. If you mostly want the map, the stops and what other drivers said about them, start with the free app and see. Current plans and what each one includes are published on our pricing page.
Is Trucker Path a good GPS for trucks?
It is built for trucks rather than adapted from a car map: you set height, width, weight and type once, and routes are planned around them with low clearance warnings. The App Store listing puts it plainly — routes that avoid sharp turns, low overpasses, bridges and small roads. It is rated 4.8 out of 5 from 1.3M+ truckers’ reviews, as published on truckerpath.com, and our site states that over one million truckers rely on it.
What do drivers actually use it for?
Four things, in roughly that order: finding a truck stop or a parking spot that still has room, checking what diesel costs before committing to a stop, seeing whether a scale house is open or closed, and reading what other drivers said about a place before pulling in. The routing matters, but the reason the phone stays on the mount is the information about what is coming up.
Is there a free trial, and how do I cancel it?
The paid plans come with a seven-day free trial. Because the subscription is billed through the App Store or Google Play, you cancel it there rather than in the app: on iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions; on Android open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling before the trial ends stops the charge, and the free version keeps working afterwards.
What does the app not do?
The free version shows you the route but does not drive it with you — turn-by-turn navigation is on a paid plan, and that is the line most drivers hit first. It is also a phone app, so it does not give you a separate screen that works with no phone at all. And the parking, fuel price and weigh station information comes from drivers reporting as they go, which means it is as current as the last report rather than a live feed from every lot.
Is it good for a new driver?
That is the case drivers make most often in their own reviews — knowing which truck stops exist and which ones are worth stopping at is exactly the knowledge a new driver has not built up yet. One review published on our site puts it this way: "This app is great, especially for the new drivers who don't know every truck stop."
Do I need an account to use it?
You can download it and look at the map without paying. Reporting parking availability, leaving a review on a stop or buying discounted diesel through the 10-4 by WEX fuel network means being signed in, because those actions are tied to a driver rather than a device.
