Firstly. Bring cash. Cash only deposit. $55 if I remember correctly. Had no issues with it being returned back to me, it's legit. It's a cheap older motel 6 with real designated truck parking near LA. It has a sketchy feel to it, but not too bad. I stayed with my daughter. We had no incidents other than a bum asking for money on the walk to 711. We had a faulty smoke detector that kept going off and I had to unplug it and turn it into front desk. The room is old, ac was missing a filter panel and smelled like cig smoke once you turn it on but it clears the cooler you get the room. Furniture kind of beat up. Bedding was clean and bug free granted there was some small stains. No big deal. Floor was newer and clean. No bugs anywhere. Fridge provided but BYOB cooking apparatus or use the microwave in the front office for free. Laundry is $4 per machine. Bring your own quarters and soap ahead of time, office posts a sign saying they won't make change. We took the bus (1/2 mile walk NW) to the Metrolink station and back two days in a row. Sbx green line to downtown and get on the Metrolink sb line. Just under a two hour ride into LA union station downtown. A socal day pass $15 gets you the local bus ride, Metrolink, metro, and la area bus admissions. It's only 10 on the weekend. We were able to go to Santa Monica pier, Venice, little Tokyo. Chinatown, and more. I wouldnt reccomend being out around town after dark. We were one of the nights but no issues keep your head on a swivel. Had my well equipped step deck and truck there Saturday to Tuesday and nobody messed with anything. Had tarps on the deck a ladder and aluminum mega ramp kit. Nobody tampered with anything. Parking lot is very well lit. What got this place 5 stars is all the staff were very professional and friendly on all shifts. Housekeeping was honest and appreciated. Had Xbox and other valueables remain undisturbed. Would stay again!
