Bathrooms nice, Arizona welcome selfie sign, truck parking too limited and small, Verizon has no signal at all.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a Welcome to Arizona — Painted Cliffs! I’m a professional tractor-trailer driver for Heartland Express, traveling from Fort Collins, Colorado, and stopped at the Painted Cliffs Rest Area along I-40 Westbound near Lupton simply to stretch my legs. Well… I certainly picked the right place to stretch them! 😂 I stepped out of my truck, looked around, and thought, Wow! Those magnificent painted cliffs rising around the rest area absolutely blew me away. The layers of color in the rugged rock formations are spectacular, especially in the Arizona daylight. One of the unexpected pleasures of being an OTR driver is discovering places like this. You pull off the interstate expecting nothing more exciting than a restroom and a chance to walk around for a few minutes—and instead Mother Nature hands you a scenic overlook! Arizona really is quite lovely. There’s something about the wide-open landscape, brilliant sunshine, desert colors and those incredible cliffs that makes you stop and appreciate where you are. I came here to stretch my legs and ended up standing there marveling at the scenery. Not a bad trade! 😂 For anyone traveling I-40 through northeastern Arizona, I highly recommend stopping here during daylight hours so you can really appreciate the Painted Cliffs. Definitely a five-star rest area in my book. Sometimes the road gives you a wonderful surprise when you least expect one. Absolutely beautiful Arizona! 🚛🏜️ —Chris Z., Heartland Express Visiting from Fort Collins, Colorado
