Rest area not bad. What you won’t see is there’s a weigh station on both sides at the toll booths that’s open a lot. North bound into the UP doesn’t have a sign for it. Southbound does have a sign that is painted and says open. It’s not electronic like normal. But it is basically always actively monitored. So be mindful of your weights. The scales aren’t like a true weigh station. Just a thin metal strip so the weights aren’t 100% accurate so just try to be close coming through. If your heading south the nearest cat scale is grayling. I’m not sure in the UP. There’s a couple scales, but not certified cat scales and I’ve had them be well off too many times to don’t use them.
