So, this place is not called The Diner anymore... On the sign above the building it says Alpena Deli. On the sign by the street, all it says is Alpena. The food here was excellent! Hours are 10am-8pm. Plenty of parking space for at least six. But, there are two dropped reefer trailers parked here. So, maybe 4. Also, slow down through this town!! I sat here and watched the local cops pulling over at least 3 or 4 different vehicles within the span of about 2 hours...definite slow down town. Goes down to 30 really fast...

This place is great, maybe 8 spots that are always empty or only 1 truck on the weekends. When I woke up in the morning I had the best southwest burger in the country. With amazing milk shake 5 stars

Best patty melt I've ever had! Be sure to come in and give these ladies some business. Always love to support a local mom and pop restaurant and the food is damn good. Great place to stop for the night, very quiet.
