Being that it's Mayflower I wouldn't even consider parking here unless you're doing HHG, and have talked to management. There is a 2 story Kohls store at the corner of Lewis Turner, and Hurlburt Rd that has a large (strangely divided) parking lot. Before I moved to the area my friends told the manager that I was coming into town, and they graciously allowed me to park there for 48 hours. I'm sure that it'd be fine if you asked. Lots of food, stores, and bars around, and you're a short Uber from the beach. **WARNING ** In season an Uber from Destin back to Ft Walton is a $50 minimum charge after 9 - 10:00 pm. That's going to be your best bet without knowing someone, and making prior arrangements. Lock it up.... nowhere is 100 % safe anymore. This is a BIG military town also.
