been parking at this weigh station(and the one on the other side of town) ever since they were built. They're GREAT! DoT won't bother you here unless there's something obviously visible wrong. I asked them early on, if you came in to park and you weren't pulled onto the scale, they do NOT expect you to roll over the scale on your way out even if they're open

Very nice wide open parking, huge slots easy to pull into—especially since there's practically no one else parking here. Two very nice clean single room bathrooms, and a bottle filling water fountain. The problem is it's a weight station, and some drivers are scared to park at places like these. I wish it were the case that drivers could feel safe stopping at places like these when they need to, and not worry about waking up to a ticket or inspection (unless something is seriously wrong with their rig). The need for safe parking and rest for drivers should be a higher priority than whether they have a missing mud flap.
