Hidden Gem Roadside Diner: A Trucker-Friendly Oasis If you are rolling down the highway and looking for a quiet, exceptionally clean spot to park overnight and grab a phenomenal morning bite, I found a hidden gem worth putting on your radar. Owned and operated by Jonathan, this charming little diner is the definition of old-school hospitality. It features a drive-up window, a spotless interior, a welcoming restroom for travelers, and some of the best conversation you will find on the road. Locals frequent the spot, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting from the moment you walk through the door. The Highlights: * Overnight Parking: There is plenty of quiet, spacious gravel parking available for overnight stays. It is remarkably peaceful—I honestly got some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. * Hours: Jonathan opens up bright and early at 5:00 AM and runs things through 1:00 PM (closed Sundays). Jonathan handles everything himself without a short-order crew, crafting fresh breakfast sandwiches to order. * Dietary Flexibility: As someone who follows a clean plant-based routine (though I do include honey while avoiding other animal products), finding a welcoming diner meal on the road can be a challenge. Jonathan is accommodating, and the stop is entirely worth it. * Support Local: Since Jonathan runs the place solo, supporting small spots like this helps keep great roadside culture alive. If more travelers pull in and show some love, hopefully, he'll be able to extend those hours down the line! Highly recommended for fellow drivers and road-trippers looking for a safe harbor, a clean rest, and a great morning start. To cap it all off, it turns out he has a whole other battle on his hands. Looking into his family story, they are fighting to protect the multi-generational family land—where farmed fruits and vegetables and now run his parents retirement coffee shop—from being seized via eminent domain to clear the way for a power line…

stopped in here yesterday and had the jalapeno breakfast bagel.....so good. I don't like coffee but owner sold me on a drink called cactus juice....so good. but if you like coffee looks like they have it all. I stayed overnight and woke up and ordered 2 breakfast sandwichs, 2 cucumber cups, and the FAMOUS cactus juice again. truckers if you're tired of same old food at truck stops I will definitely go out of my way to stop here next time. they picked cucumbers this morning for my cucumber cups.....wow..... amazing. it's a small place but it packs big fresh flavors. and they have a variety of a lot of other things I'm sure I'm missing. great conversation and good vibes.
