Overall rating
You have to go online first there is no guard at the gate. I don’t know if there Security I didn’t see any while I was here. I would register put in your information you do need your DOT number. And it was $22 with tax for one night. Decent in a pinch, but I wouldn’t choose it for long-term parking. I used the 5100 W Airport Fwy location in Irving. The lot is large, but it can feel cluttered at night and it’s hard to tell how much actual truck-and-trailer parking is available. Some spaces may require a little creativity. The surface is rough with broken pavement, gravel, potholes and uneven areas. There are also different levels in the lot, so if you’re pulling a trailer, be careful crossing the uneven sections and making turns. My biggest issue was lighting. The lot is very dark at night, which makes walking to the gate for an Uber or walking a dog uncomfortable, especially with trucks moving through the lot. The gate also malfunctioned one night and stayed open, which made me question the security. There is no attendant at the gate. You have to scan the QR code, register/pay online and receive a gate code or use their app. I didn’t know that beforehand and had to back up to reach the QR code after pulling to the gate. On the positive side, you can leave your personal vehicle in your paid space, there are dumpsters for trash, and if you arrive during daylight and get a good spot, it works fine for short-term parking. Overall: useful when you need a place to park, but I’d like to see better lighting, smoother pavement and more reliable gate security.
