Made it here 5:40pm still lots of space to park
Great place to park before you get to EL Cajon or San Diego. Plenty of parking spaces anytime of the day or night. Dirt and concrete lot across the street from the Chevron. Subway close by. Limited places to eat. Nice place to take a 10 hour reset. Showers are $12. No nearby stores for door dash or Uber Eats. I wouldn’t stop here if you don’t have food in your truck or like Subway. Other than that it’s pretty quiet. Parking is free. Be prepared for border patrol inspection traffic if you’re heading west on interstate 8. May cause a few minutes of delay to your trip.
