At TA Florence, SC, I went to wash my cooking pot in the sink, where there was a sign. The cashier yelled at me and said she was fighting to keep that sink available for drivers. I did not wash my pot and returned to my truck. I called the manager, who said the sink was for handwashing only and referred to the law. I asked whether that also meant drivers could not rinse a coffee cup. I have been a TA member since 2014. Please clarify the rule and any law behind it. Drivers need a designated place to wash cookware and cups and keep them clean. I also ask that staff speak respectfully to customers.
Food options are almost basic outside the Popeyes. Sodas overpriced and fresh food is no close to Atlanta Petro. This offers corn and porch chops and hotdogs on the side. Drivers lounge have 4 comfortable chairs that extend out so don’t expect a lot of room to watch sports. Chicken seems to be the main list of options with Zaxbys next door. Similar to the Pilot where it’s either Subway, Taco Bell, hotdogs, or you can play frogger across the highway to low quality meat hamburgers in the cookout restaurant. But a Jerseys Mikes is next to it so you can definitely get better quality there than subway. You could go to be quality meat at the Hardee’s across from this TA but it’s still playing frogger and Hardee’s is overpriced without much flavor in their burgers.
