  currently they're Cash only, apparently this place has a bad habit of their card readers going off online. great parking places, pretty nice employees and clean store.

  I woke up around 7:00 AM because I wanted to take a shower before the morning rush. I immediately got in line and was the first person waiting, but I ended up waiting for more than 40 minutes. During that time, five more people got in line behind me. When I finally went inside, I saw that the showers were actually available, but apparently nobody was cleaning or preparing them. Instead, the employees were casually talking to each other and walking around while customers were waiting. The condition of the shower was honestly unacceptable. The towels provided looked like they had been used to clean dirty floors. Inside the shower area, there were hair and other pieces of dirt all over the corners, the bench, the sink, and the floor. It looked like the area had not been properly cleaned since opening. The shower head was also broken or poorly maintained. Water was spraying in every direction, including straight onto the ceiling, instead of where it was supposed to go. The exhaust fan directly above the sink was covered in a thick layer of dust, so much that the dust was visibly being blown around when the fan was running. The coffee machines and cold drink dispensers were also covered in a heavy layer of dirty buildup. Their condition made it look like they had not been properly cleaned in a very long time. The only positive thing I can say about this Love’s is that even at night, there is a good chance of finding a parking spot. Other than that, I honestly cannot find any positives. For a major truck stop, the level of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service here is unacceptable. The problem clearly wasn’t simply that the staff was busy — the showers were available, customers were waiting, and the employees simply weren’t taking care of them.
