I’m a truck driver, and after shopping at your location in the morning, I went to use the bathroom. While waiting, I noticed one of your security guards using the bathroom. Since I didn’t want to waste time, I decided to brush my teeth while waiting for him to finish. When the guard came out, he told me I wasn’t allowed to brush my teeth. I explained that I didn’t know about this rule and assured him I wouldn’t do it again. He said okay and waited until I was done. Afterward, as I was about to use the bathroom, he told me I couldn’t use it at all. I was confused and explained that I’m a truck driver, and even if I weren’t, customers should still have access to the restroom. I asked to speak to a manager. He brought over an employee who said she wasn’t the manager. I asked again and eventually spoke to a lady who claimed to be the manager. I explained the situation, but her response was just as disappointing. She said I could use the bathroom, but I wasn’t allowed to wash my face or hands. This is unacceptable service for customers. Denying someone basic hygiene, such as washing their hands or face, is not only disrespectful but also inhumane. Assuming someone is homeless just because they clean themselves is unfair and judgmental. This experience reflects poorly on your establishment and your view of humanity.
