Was booted and told it was going to be $450 to remove boot. After explaining the commercial motor vehicle law and safe haven to the security guards they advised they were doing what they were told. I told them to call the state police to get this issue resolved because only state police could make the decision to allow me to move from my safe haven. The boot was removed and I was told just drive 5 mph to the next door shopping center. I did so but explained that if someone asked why I was parked in a fire lane, I was going to inform them that I was instructed to do so. I wasn’t messed with the rest of the night. I move for truck drivers to boycott Walmart as they do not appreciate the importance of our industry.

Lots of people sleeping in cars or doing the whole van life thing. And to their credit security is nice but 30 minutes after they close they run the truckers off. Towing and booting is enforced here. Was just made to leave. No problems other than that.
