Got here the night before Thanksgiving as I needed a place to park as Pilot was packed. but this place was about 1/3 full. I parked here, walked to McDonald's (The McDonald's truck lot is permanently closed with cement barriers at the entry) Had me a make a McThanksgiving feast, walked back and saw a small handwritten sign on the gas pump pillar "Truck parking $15 Thank you" Life then entered a Moment of truth: Do I A) run down to Monroe and try my luck parking at the culdesac near that old closed down former truck stop, B) Head south to that southbound rest area and try my luck on this turkey day eve' or C) Walk in and part with my lovely lovely future $15 calorie burrito money. remembering some nice (or not) 3,500 year old stuffy book yammered on and on about the love of money being the root of all evil...yada yada yada.....or something ..... I ended up paying the divine *** behind the counter to sleep somberly without getting that dreaded 3 o'clock door knock.
