  I don't know what this other guy is talking about. His name checks out; he certainly is a steeringwheelholder! Anyway, there were several cars parked along the side of the place, so it certainly didn't look abandoned. I poked around the C-store, but looked pretty bare-bones. Still, you want to encourage small businesses, especially when they're letting me park for free. The diner, however, was the radiant beacon of hope. Counter was manned by the store owner's wife, sweet as pie, literally reading her Bible when I walked in. She showed me what she had prepared for the day. Smothered porkchops. So tender, you didn't need a fork! Judging from my hair and clothes, she probably thought I was a hobo and even said not to worry about it and be on my way after she made me my box. I said NO! None of that. Came out to $16.03 for an entree, two sides, a lil square of sweet cornbread, and a drank of pink lemonade. I gave her a $20 and three pennies and told her to keep it. She thanked me profusely and I went out to eat in my truck. Almost brought me back to Jesus. Just don't bother with the showers. Doesn't look like they're going back into operation anytime soon. Opens for breakfast at 0600 Store closes at 2000

  So the store looks abandoned. I walk pass it to head to the store next door. Some guy comes out and asked did you park here. Umm yes. He proceeds to say so why you going there and not in here. I said this place looks abandoned. He starts going on and on and on about not patronizing his store and he allowing us to park. I told him we’ll do something with the store then people would shop in it. I’d money hard charge to park. It’s a total dump and the guy running it it ***. Just go to the stop down the road.
