Paid parking
Customer service was extremely frustrating. Many of the employees do not speak or understand English very well, which made communication very difficult when asking basic questions. We even called ahead to ask about paying for parking and were told we had to pay online or by phone, but when we arrived, the process was completely different. You simply take a ticket and pay when you leave. That kind of misinformation wastes drivers’ time. They advertise showers and laundry, but those facilities are not even built yet. That was very misleading, especially for drivers planning their stops around those amenities. The market is also very small and mostly stocked with foreign snacks and drinks, with limited everyday options. There is little to no direct signage telling you where things are located, which makes navigating the property confusing. The so-called drivers lounge is not really a lounge. It is a very small area with maybe 4 to 5 seats, and there is a desk for the truck shop directly in front of you, which makes it feel more like a waiting corner than a place to relax. The bathrooms are also located inside the truck shop, and there are only two available. Both bathrooms were very dirty during our visit. The food truck on site only has around 15 menu options, and communication was again difficult because the cook did not understand English well. It made ordering more complicated than it should be. Parking is another major issue. The parking is very tight, especially if you have a trailer. There are items and vehicles parked all over the place, making maneuvering stressful and inconvenient. They also offer parking through Truck Parking Club, but the staff did not seem familiar with how to use the system. We had to sit at the exit gate for about 25 minutes while they tried to look up our booking.
