Overall rating
For the review I'm going to leave this location isn't horrible, but it also does need attention to much needed future improvement. My point, for the amount of "safety pushing" Landstar does on BCO's, to a point that they are sending in decoys in the auto shops now that do the 120 day Landstar safety inspections that are in hopes to catch mechanics who may or may not let safety violations slide with their over zealous check list. A check list that would imply that they expect every driver to run basically new equipment this location NEVER has glad hand seals on any of their trailers in the lot, EVER & they don't provide them. Which I find is absolutely ridiculous because that's their equip and it's a very basic need on the trailer to hook up to safely. So people know, if you call safety about flats, they expect you to roll their trailers with flat tires too because they have auto inflators. Well who wants wear and tear on their compressor an entire trip? Who wants the added expenses of crap fuel ecomomy because underinflated/flat tires pull harder? -besides the fact it's illegal to run a flat & we risk being put OOS. Heads up sometimes the hoses for the auto inflators don't work. Every trailer there's always something so if safety is the name of the game, as it should be all around do not roll a trailer without it being 100% legal and up to par. See a flat, call to get it fixed. With all of the law enforcement in towns across the United States it's not worth risking your livelihood over equipment that should be inspected properly BEFORE LOADING THE TRAILER. This is the ones on the dock/yard jockeys responsibility just as much as it it the drivers to check & then also the ones at the gate. On them- it's not a good practice to have people who have broken English doing check ins because proper communication is key. If you don't have that you have nothing- and at a security gate, how secure is it really when they can't fully understand the check in process?
No Public Parking. Might be able to stay if delivering or getting loaded? Can’t get into the building after hours, doors are locked. Need driver code to get in. This should not be on here.
