Place is an absolute train wreck: dirty and unmaintained; staffed by lackadaisical, self-interested workers. Shower water is plenty hot but pressure is poor. Access and egress is complicated by construction on the access road and the inability of some drivers to read (or comply with) signage instructing drivers to only turn left out of the lot and follow the detour back to I-20. This last will improve once the construction is wrapped up but nothing is going to solve the problems inside the store.
Absolute pain in the *** to get too. Got the road tore up infront of the truck stop. The east bound lane is litterally ripped up and tore down to one lane. So when you come off exit 49 they have the left turn lane blocked at the light to insenuate no yurn left. Went up to sams to turn around. Took exit 47. Road closed to local traffic. Get up to it. Do not enter. For the lane thats open?! Enter anyways. And everybody is coming up the wrong lane. Like seriously if i worked here id get somebody involved before theres an accident because trucks cant get in or out. And the local yuppies making it absolutetly a pain to do so.
