How BigRoad is built
DashLink, and an App Drivers Already Open
BigRoad describes its ELD as DashLink, paired with the BigRoad Mobile App, and says over 500,000 drivers use it daily. The company started in 2011 in Waterloo with owner-operators in mind, and the app remains where duty status and hours are read.
DashLink keeps doing its job
The engine connection and the logs it produces stay with BigRoad. Trucker Path reads hours of service and writes nothing back.
Built for small fleets and owner-operators
BigRoad’s own origin is owner-operator compliance. Trucker Path for Fleets starts at three trucks and is priced from a published list, not a quote.
What gets added is the road
Height, weight, length and axle count per truck, with the restriction handled before the driver reaches it.
SyncedHow it connects
How the BigRoad Connection Works
- 01Connect
Fill the Form Once, Touch Nothing in the Cab
Start your Trucker Path for Fleets trial, open Connect Account in Settings and choose BigRoad. Enter the DOT/MC, Email, Scope, Username, Password and API Key listed above. Drivers and their hours of service come across on their own. Nothing is installed, and DashLink is not touched.
- 02Plan
Plan Around Real Hours
Routes are built from your truck profiles and each driver’s remaining hours, read live out of BigRoad rather than re-keyed from a report.
- 03Dispatch
Dispatch to the Driver App
Send the route from the dashboard to the driver app in one tap. Nothing is reconfigured in the cab, and live position stays visible in both systems.
Before you start
The Six Fields BigRoad Asks For
The BigRoad entry asks for six things, not a single sign-in. Two of them are simply your carrier number and your email; the rest come from the account you already hold.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Does connecting Trucker Path for Fleets replace my BigRoad subscription?
No. It is an add-on, not a replacement. BigRoad stays your system of record for hours of service, compliance and driver scoring. Trucker Path adds truck-safe routing and dispatch beside it.
Is the BigRoad integration free?
Connecting BigRoad costs nothing extra. Trucker Path for Fleets itself is a paid subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial, which needs a credit card to begin.
Is BigRoad the same company as Fleet Complete?
BigRoad is published by Powerfleet, which also trades as Fleet Complete. Both appear separately in the connect list; use the one your sign-in belongs to.
Do drivers need to stop using the BigRoad app?
No. Duty status stays in BigRoad. The route arrives in the Trucker Path app on the same phone.
We are owner-operators with three trucks. Is this sized for us?
Trucker Path for Fleets starts at three trucks and is sold from a published price list rather than a quote.
Does DashLink need reconfiguring?
No. DashLink keeps producing the logs. The connection reads the account.
Who needs to be involved to connect?
Someone who can generate an API key inside BigRoad. Keys are usually restricted to administrators, so if that is not you, that is the one person to ask.
