How DriverTech is built
A Dedicated In-Cab Unit, Not a Phone
DriverTech has supplied vehicle-mounted computers since 1995, and describes the DT4000 as combining mobile communications, compliant ELD capability and a forward-facing dashcam in a single in-cab system. That unit stays exactly where it is.
The in-cab unit is untouched
The DT4000 keeps running the workflow and the logs. The connection reads from your account, not from the hardware.
Routing reaches the driver’s phone
The route lands in the Trucker Path app, so nothing has to be reconfigured on the mounted unit.
One set of clocks
Hours of service stay DriverTech’s record, and are read live rather than re-keyed.
SyncedHow it connects
How the DriverTech Connection Works
- 01Connect
Fill the Form Once, Touch Nothing in the Cab
Start your Trucker Path for Fleets trial, open Connect Account in Settings and choose DriverTech. Enter the DOT/MC, Email, Company Code, Data Store Name, Username and Password listed above. Drivers and their hours of service come across on their own. Nothing is installed, and the DT4000 is not touched.
- 02Plan
Plan Around Real Hours
Routes are built from your truck profiles and each driver’s remaining hours, read live out of DriverTech rather than re-keyed from a report.
- 03Dispatch
Dispatch to the Driver App
Send the route from the dashboard to the driver app in one tap. Nothing is reconfigured in the cab, and live position stays visible in both systems.

The Six Fields DriverTech Asks For
The DriverTech entry asks for six things, not a single sign-in. Two of them are simply your carrier number and your email; the rest come from the account you already hold.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Does connecting Trucker Path for Fleets replace my DriverTech subscription?
No. It is an add-on, not a replacement. DriverTech stays your system of record for hours of service, compliance and driver scoring. Trucker Path adds truck-safe routing and dispatch beside it.
Is the DriverTech integration free?
Connecting DriverTech costs nothing extra. Trucker Path for Fleets itself is a paid subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial, which needs a credit card to begin.
Does this replace the DT4000 in the cab?
No. The in-cab unit and its logs stay as they are. The route arrives in the Trucker Path app on the driver’s phone.
What does the connect form need from DriverTech?
Your carrier number and email, the company code and data store name DriverTech files you under, and your DriverTech sign-in. Your administrator holds the first two.
Do drivers use the DT4000 or their phone?
Both, for different things. Duty status and the DriverTech workflow stay on the in-cab unit; the route arrives in the Trucker Path app.
Where do the company code and data store name come from?
They are on your DriverTech account record. Your administrator will have them; they are not something you create for this.
Who needs to be involved to connect?
Anyone holding a working DriverTech sign-in and your carrier number. No key to request, and no approval to wait on.
