How EROAD is built
Ehubo or Drive, and What Each One Means Here
EROAD publishes two ELD paths: Ehubo, a rugged tethered in-cab device wired to the engine control module, and Drive, an app that connects to EROAD’s IoT gateway devices. The connection reads your EROAD account, so either path works the same way once it is set up.
Either EROAD path connects the same
Whether your trucks run Ehubo or Drive, the connection reads drivers, vehicles and hours of service from the account, not from the device.
The engine connection stays EROAD’s
EROAD describes the device as synchronizing with the engine to record hours automatically. That remains your record.
What gets added is the route
Truck-safe routing built on the rig, with toll cost before dispatch.
SyncedHow it connects
How the EROAD Connection Works
- 01Connect
Fill the Form Once, Touch Nothing in the Cab
Start your Trucker Path for Fleets trial, open Connect Account in Settings and choose EROAD. Enter the DOT/MC, Email and API Key listed above. Drivers and their hours of service come across on their own. Nothing is installed, and Ehubo or Drive is not touched.
- 02Plan
Plan Around Real Hours
Routes are built from your truck profiles and each driver’s remaining hours, read live out of EROAD rather than re-keyed from a report.
- 03Dispatch
Dispatch to the Driver App
Send the route from the dashboard to the driver app in one tap. Nothing is reconfigured in the cab, and live position stays visible in both systems.

The Three Fields EROAD Asks For
The EROAD entry asks for three things, not a single sign-in. Two of them are simply your carrier number and your email; the rest come from the account you already hold.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Does connecting Trucker Path for Fleets replace my EROAD subscription?
No. It is an add-on, not a replacement. EROAD stays your system of record for hours of service, compliance and driver scoring. Trucker Path adds truck-safe routing and dispatch beside it.
Is the EROAD integration free?
Connecting EROAD costs nothing extra. Trucker Path for Fleets itself is a paid subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial, which needs a credit card to begin.
We run Ehubo in some trucks and Drive in others. Does that matter?
No. The connection reads your EROAD account rather than a particular device, so a mixed rollout connects the same way.
What does the connect form need?
Your carrier number, your email, and an API key issued inside EROAD. The key is created by someone with administrator access.
We are mid-way through moving from Ehubo to Drive.
That is fine. The connection reads your EROAD account rather than a device, so a mixed rollout connects once.
Who creates the EROAD API key?
Someone with administrator access in your EROAD account. It is the only item on the form you do not already have.
Who needs to be involved to connect?
Someone who can generate an API key inside EROAD. Keys are usually restricted to administrators, so if that is not you, that is the one person to ask.
