What Trucker Path for Fleets Adds

Motive was called KeepTruckin until 2022, so paperwork or drivers still saying KeepTruckin mean the same company. Your dispatchers work in the Motive Fleet Dashboard. Your ELD stays the system of record for hours of service logs, compliance and driver scoring. Trucker Path adds routing and dispatch without changing your setup.

    Start your Trucker Path for Fleets trial, open Settings and pick whichever suits how your fleet runs: sign in with your Motive account and approve the request, or paste in an API token. The two are compared below.

Two ways in

The Motive connect panel offers both, and neither gives Trucker Path more access than the other. Both read drivers, vehicles and hours of service, and neither writes anything back to Motive. What differs is who does the setup.

Where Motive sits

Motive describes itself as an all-in-one fleet management and driver safety platform — "one platform to help improve the Safety, Productivity and Profitability of your operations". Its own product list runs from ELD compliance and GPS tracking to AI dashcams, maintenance, spend management and driver coaching. None of that changes when you connect Trucker Path.

Compliance and safety stay in Motive

Hours of service logs, the AI dashcam, driver coaching and accident management are Motive's, and they carry on exactly as they do now. Trucker Path reads drivers, vehicles and hours of service; it does not write anything back.

What gets added is the route

Truck-safe routing built on each truck's height, weight, length and axle count, with toll cost visible before the trip goes out, and the route landing in the Trucker Path app the driver already has on their phone.

Known as KeepTruckin until the rename

Motive still carries "Formerly KeepTruckin" on its own connect panel, so a fleet that set the account up years ago may know it under the old name. The connection is the same either way.

FAQ

Does connecting Trucker Path for Fleets replace my Motive subscription?

No. It is an add-on, not a replacement — you keep Motive for HOS/ELD compliance and driver behavior scoring, and add truck-safe routing and fuel network discounts on top.

Is the Motive integration free?

Connecting Motive costs nothing extra. Trucker Path for Fleets itself is a paid subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial, which needs a credit card to begin.

How do I connect my Motive account?

Two ways, and the connect panel offers both. Most fleets sign in with their Motive account and approve the request — nothing to request, nothing to wait for. The other way is an API token: your Motive administrator creates it in the Motive Dashboard under the admin icon, then Developers, then Request API Key, and Motive issues one key per organization. Either way you start a Trucker Path for Fleets trial, connect from Settings, and your drivers and their hours of service status sync over. Trucker Path for Fleets reads driver, vehicle and hours of service data, and does not write back to Motive.

Should I use the login or the token?

Signing in is quicker and there is nothing to request. A token suits fleets that keep integrations under an administrator, or where the person setting this up is not the person holding the Motive login. Both give Trucker Path the same read access to drivers, vehicles and hours of service.

Where do I get a Motive API token?

From your own Motive Dashboard, not from us: the admin icon, then Developers, then Request API Key. Motive issues one key per organization and documents the steps in their help center, which the connect panel links to directly.

Where do I see my HOS clocks after connecting?

Right inside Trucker Path's navigation screen — drivers don't need to switch apps to check remaining hours.

Do I need to change anything in Motive?

No. Your ELD hardware, HOS logs, and driver settings stay exactly as they are.
