Before you start

Geotab does not identify an account by email alone, so the connect box asks for four things rather than one sign-in. Geotab documents its own address structure as https://<serverName>/<databaseName>/#<page>, which means two of the four are already on screen whenever an administrator is signed in to MyGeotab.

What Trucker Path for Fleets Adds

The GO device in your diagnostic port sends engine and position data to MyGeotab, drivers set duty status in Geotab Drive, and MyGeotab puts the two together into the log you read. None of that moves. What is missing from that picture is the road itself — whether the route you just dispatched fits the truck running it.

FAQ

Does connecting Trucker Path for Fleets replace my Geotab subscription?

No. It is an add-on, not a replacement. Geotab stays your system of record for hours of service, compliance and driver scoring. Trucker Path adds truck-safe routing and dispatch beside it.

What do the database and server fields want?

They identify which MyGeotab account to read. Geotab documents the server as "the name of the server the database is on", giving my.geotab.com as its example, and the database as "the name of the database", which is "typically the company name used during registration".

Where do I find my Geotab database name?

Geotab documents its address structure as https://<serverName>/<databaseName>/#<page>, so both values sit in the MyGeotab address while an administrator is signed in. Geotab also notes that spaces in the name "are replaced with underscore characters (_)", so a company registered as Acme Trucking becomes Acme_Trucking.

Which MyGeotab account should I use?

The connect box takes the email and password of a MyGeotab user on the database you want to connect. If you are not sure which account that should be, your Geotab administrator will know.

My Geotab came through AT&T. Is this the same integration?

No. Geotab sells direct and through partners who, in Geotab's own words, may "whitelabel, resell, or take advantage of Geotab's global Reseller network". The connect list carries the AT&T-branded Geotab as its own entry, separate from the native one. Pick the entry that matches how your Geotab was sold to you.

Is the Geotab integration free?

Connecting Geotab costs nothing extra. Trucker Path for Fleets itself is a paid subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial, which needs a credit card to begin.

Where do I see hours of service after connecting?

Inside the Trucker Path navigation screen. Drivers do not switch apps to check remaining hours.

Do I need to change anything in Geotab?

No. Your GO devices, logs and driver settings stay exactly as they are.
