How the connection works

One API Token, and That Is the Whole Form

The RouteMate entry asks for a single API token. RouteMate describes itself as having started as an ELD compliance solution and grown into fleet management with GPS tracking, maintenance and dispatch alongside, and the token is issued from that same account.

  • A single field

    No carrier number, no separate username. One token, pasted once in Settings.

  • RouteMate stays the record

    Hours of service, logs and compliance stay RouteMate’s. Trucker Path reads them and writes nothing back.

  • What gets added is the route

    Height, weight, length and axle count per truck, with toll cost visible before dispatch.

How the RouteMate Connection Works

    Fill the Form Once

    Start your Trucker Path for Fleets trial, open Connect Account in Settings and choose RouteMate. Paste the API token from your RouteMate account. Drivers and their hours of service come across on their own, and the RouteMate app is not touched.

  2. 02Plan

    Plan Around Real Hours

    Routes are built from your truck profiles and each driver’s remaining hours, read live out of RouteMate rather than re-keyed from a report.

  3. 03Dispatch

    Dispatch to the Driver App

    Send the route from the dashboard to the driver app in one tap, with no setup call to schedule and nothing to install in the truck.

FAQ

Does connecting Trucker Path for Fleets replace my RouteMate subscription?

No. It is an add-on, not a replacement. RouteMate stays your system of record for hours of service, compliance and driver scoring. Trucker Path adds truck-safe routing and dispatch beside it.

Is the RouteMate integration free?

Connecting RouteMate costs nothing extra. Trucker Path for Fleets itself is a paid subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial, which needs a credit card to begin.

Where do I get the API token?

From your RouteMate account. The connect panel for RouteMate does not carry a help link, so ask our team if you cannot find it and we will point you at the right screen.

Does connecting change the RouteMate app?

No. Drivers keep using it for duty status. The route arrives in the Trucker Path app.

Is there a help link for the token?

Not in the connect panel for RouteMate. Our team will point you at the right screen in your RouteMate account.

Does the token expire?

If a token stops working, generate a new one in RouteMate and paste it again in Settings.

Who needs to be involved to connect?

Whoever can reach the API token in your RouteMate account. There is nothing to request from us first.
