  Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J 500 Dixie Lee Ave, Monteagle, TN 37356 (I-24 Exit 135) OTR driver here. This is the best experience I’ve had at a Southern Tire Mart. Monteagle Mountain took out the radiator on my Freightliner Cascadia. STM sent a service truck, and before the mobile tech even got under the hood he already knew what it was. He said this happens all the time on Cascadias. That kind of experience matters when you’re sitting on the side of the road. My company sent a third-party wrecker to drop me at the shop. They let the wrecker put me behind the building overnight so I could wait for the next day’s work. In the morning I got taken in quickly. They quoted six hours to replace the radiator and they finished on time. Everybody I dealt with was sharp, patient, and easy to work with — from the roadside tech to the shop mechanics to the manager. Even the green-haired clerk at the window was on top of her game and had real withitness: she saw everything coming and didn’t miss a beat. Her fiancé works in the shop and helped me too. One snag: when her fiancé pulled the tractor away from the trailer during the drop, two things got damaged. The trailer-side emergency gladhand snapped off and he replaced it at no charge. The emergency air line itself was fine, but the rubber grip on that hose was torn. Another mechanic taped that grip up thoroughly with black electrical tape so I could roll. He was professional, knew what he was doing, and more than willing to help. That was the only damage. Even with that, this is my number-one STM stop when I’m in the area. Knowledgeable people, honest time estimates, and they take care of you. If you’re coming over the mountain with a Cascadia and something lets go, this is the shop I’d send another driver to.
