Infographic: Truck Parking Availability on Christmas Day

Truck drivers will have something extra to look forward to during the holiday season,
according to Trucker Path driver parking submissions. The crowd-sourced data collected
in 2019 and 2020 shows that truck parking locations are only half as full on Christmas Day
versus the rest of the year (see the infographic below). This means many drivers enjoy a
well-deserved break on Christmas Day, while those on the road can take some respite
from parking issues, which continue to plague the industry.

Whether the trend will continue on Christmas Day this year remains to be seen. The
Covid-19 pandemic combined with the ongoing supply chain crisis may impact the drivers’
service hours and, by extension, the parking availability.
